Before Tooth Whitening |
After Tooth Whitening |
Wherever you look, teeth are white, white, white. Now Dr. Tolia can
brighten your smile with powerful whitening treatments that lighten discolorations
caused by coffee, cigarettes, medication, or aging. You'll notice the
difference immediately...and so will everyone else in the Gloucester area.
Dr. Tolia will custom fit you for a tray containing whitening gel quickly
and easily in your initial visit, then you will continue treatments in
your home until your teeth are as bright as you want.
Whitening at our office really does work like
magic.
Cover problem teeth with ultra-thin porcelain veneers.
Think of this treatment as a manicure for your smile. Veneers are thin
shells of porcelain that are custom fitted over your natural teeth. Dr.
Tolia can change the shape, color and length of your teeth in only two
visits. It looks so good you'll wonder why you waited so long.

Before Dental Veneers |
After Dental Veneers |
Today at our office we have exciting new biomaterials
that can give your smile a lift without invasive treatments.
Dr. Tolia can use ultra-thin porcelain veneers to correct chipped, weakened,
or discolored teeth. No more yellow. No more gaps or embarrassing chips.
And Dr. Tolia's veneers can return real structural integrity to damaged
teeth, while leaving them looking as good (or possibly better) than the
originals.
At our office, your veneers are custom made to
fit over your natural teeth, with a finish more translucent to blend in
with surrounding teeth. So people won't notice your tooth, they'll simply
see your beautiful, natural smile.
Ditch ill-fitting dentures with new ones that are even more natural, functional and comfortable.
These are not your mother's dentures. Dr. Tolia likes to use new materials
that can be custom blended to your skin, hair and eye color to look as
if you were born with perfect teeth. Dentures can also be replaced or
relined to correct problems with aging jaws so you can chew without discomfort
again.
With so many advances in modern dentistry, fewer people need to wear
full dentures. If you have older dentures or think you may need dentures,
you're in luck. Denture technology in the Gloucester area has never been better.
As people age, dentures can cause wearers to look older than they really
are and can cause pain when chewing. Dr. Tolia can replace worn out dentures
with custom made, state-of-the-art dentures that blend with your skin,
hair and even eye color. Your dentures will look as natural as possible,
even down to the fillings.
Before going to the plastic surgeon, get a "face lift" with
comfortable, attractive dentures at our office.
Porcelain Crowns.
When the size of a "filling" exceeds a certain proportion of
the tooth, it must be replaced with a "cap," also called a "crown."
Dr. Tolia likes to use porcelain crowns that look very natural and don't
have a dark metal line.
Porcelain crowns reflect light with a natural healthy glow.

Before Dental Crowns |
After Dental Crowns |
Crowns, or caps for teeth, look and function just like natural teeth.
Dr. Tolia may recommend a crown if your tooth has enough decay that it
cannot hold a filling, or if your tooth is cracked or broken and in danger
of cracking down into the root if left unattended. A crown covers your
tooth completely. It fits snugly at the gum and protects what remains
of the natural tooth.
Dr. Tolia may recommend a bridge be utilized to replace one or more
teeth. These restorations are cemented onto the teeth and are referred
to as "fixed" dentistry as opposed to a restoration of missing
teeth with a removable appliance or partial denture.
Go natural with dental implants.
Implants are bridges that are permanently anchored into the jaw. Because
there is always a perfect fit, dental implants are almost the same as
having your natural teeth back again. To qualify for implants, you'll
need healthy oral tissues and jawbone ridges that are in good shape. If
you're suffering from tooth loss, talk with Dr. Tolia about whether implants
are an option for you.

Before Dental Implants |
After Dental Implants |
If you are missing one or more teeth, you'll want replacements that are
as natural as possible. If dentures don't work for you, you may consider
dental implants. Unlike dentures, which can be removed, implants are permanently
anchored into the jaw itself.
Usually Dr. Tolia feels you are a good candidate for implants if you
have jawbone ridges that are in good shape and healthy oral tissues. When
the implant device is inserted into the jaw, a chemical and mechanical
bond is formed. The jawbone actually grows into the implant.
With implants, Dr. Tolia can get you a perfect fit, and they will look
and feel as good as (or better than!) your original teeth.
Dental Bonding.
Dr. Tolia uses dental bonding to sculpt individual teeth with a special
tooth-like material that looks, acts and feels like the real thing.
Bonding is an affordable, quick and painless way to repair many cosmetic
flaws or injuries.

Before Dental Bonding |
After Dental Bonding |
Bonding by Dr. Tolia is typically painless and can yield dramatic results
in a single office visit. Essentially, bonding hides any natural flaws
through the placement of a thin plastic coating on the front surface of
the teeth.
After treating the tooth surface, Dr. Tolia applies a puttylike bonding
material that is then sculpted, shaped and colored to suit your needs.
A high-intensity light causes the plastic to harden after which the new
surface is smoothed and polished.
Bonding can lighten stains, close gaps and even alter crooked or malformed
teeth. At our office we can even utilize it to
change the shape or color of a single tooth or if necessary to remake
your entire smile.
Turn "Metal Mouth" into a natural smile:
Replace old crowns and bridges with metal-free restorations. There's
a huge difference between metal fillings and Dr. Tolia's new porcelain
restorations that reflect the translucence of natural teeth. Your new
metal-free crowns, inlays and bridges won't show wear or cause opposing
teeth to erode, and fitting the crown or bridge is a breeze.

Before Tooth-Colored Fillings |
After Tooth-Colored Fillings |
For over 100 years, dentistry has restored teeth primarily with a material
made of mercury and silver. It has done its job well, although we have
had to live with its weaknesses. Those weaknesses consist of cracking
teeth due to expansion of the material, and restorations turning black
as the silver in the material corrodes.
Now we have many ways to provide tooth-colored restorations at our office. We can use adhesives to bond tooth parts that
look and act like teeth. We can provide a bright, healthy and strong smile
with these exciting new techniques in adhesion dentistry.
Please don't hesitate to call us at
(949) 364-3724 if you believe you would benefit from
these advancements. Together Dr. Tolia, we can help
bring a smile back to your face.
